Are You Down with Innovation?

Great, because we think we have something that you are going to like.

To continue to add to and enrich your Directions experience, the Directions Board needs your feedback.

We are considering an "Innovation Competition" for this year's conference. The general premise of the contest is as follows.

• Entrants (Partners or ISVs) will submit a 3-5 minute video representing their most innovative creation utilizing Dynamics NAV. The video should be uploaded to YouTube.
• The board will review the submissions and select 5 finalists prior to the conference.
• All of the finalists' videos will be available for viewing at the conference.
• The conference attendees will be encouraged to view the videos and vote for the ones that they feel embody innovation to the fullest.
• The award will be presented and the winner's video shown during the keynote/gold sponsor session on Friday evening.

Your showcase of innovation could be something built using Web Services, Client Extensibility or just something around the Role Tailored Client. In the Navision tradition of cooperation, let's show off a bit.

It is important to understand that this is not meant to be a demo contest. It is meant to be a platform to share something that you have built that spotlights your creativity and innovation and made a big impact with a client.

You may now ask what is in it for me. Well, the winner will receive a cash prize as well as the "Directions Innovator of the Year Award". Your marketing department then can use that award in the promotion of your company or just as bragging rights.

As Directions 2011 is just around the corner, we are going to put a very short time for the response to this request. We will want to publish Official Rules for the Directions Innovation Competition before the end of August.
